Belgrade Hosts National Workshop – Response to Emergency Security Event
The two-day national workshop (20-21 September) on the response of the institutions of the Republic of Serbia to emergency security event with radioactive and nuclear materials finished today. The focus of the workshop was to present the capacities of the institutions in the Republic of Serbia to responds to a scenario including smuggling of the radioactive material across the national border and the terrorist threats using radioactive material.
Fifty Thousand of Tiger Mosquito Sterile Males Released in Novi Sad within Project of Ecologically Acceptable and Sustainable Pest Control
Last week, in the centre of Novi Sad, the last 50,000 of Asian tiger mosquito males marked with fluorescent powder were released. This signified the completion of the release of the overall of 200,000 mosquitos, which started in the early August this year. This activity is a part of the IAEA

Director of Directorate Attends Reception at Belgian Embassy Marking National Holiday of Belgium
The Belgian Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Koenraad Adam, organized the reception on 21 June in the embassy residence, marking the National Day of Belgium. The reception was attended by the Director of Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate, Mr Sladjan Velinov.
