On Monday, 13 March, 2023, the representatives of the Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate (SRBATOM) hosted the guests from the European Commission (EC), namely Juan Carlos de la Rosa Blul, Technical Project Manager and Xavier Pinsolle, Project Manager, as well as Gligo Vukovic as the representative of EU Delegation in Belgrade.

In the light of the increased interest by the public in the circumstances surrounding the incident at the border crossing point in Bezdan of 04 March 2023, Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate issues the following statement:

At the initiative of His Excellency Stephan Klement, Head of Delegation to the International Organisations in Vienna and the EU Permanent Representative to the UN Organizations in Vienna, IAEA and CTBTO, Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate hosted today the Ambassador together with the representatives of the EU Delegation in Belgrade.

In the ceremony marking the 75th anniversary since the establishment of the Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences, which was held today in the gallery of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Sladjan Velinov, Director of Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate was awarded the Institute plaquette.

The activities during the two-day national table-top exercise, which was organized by Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate (SRBATOM), served to test the use of JRODOS Decision Support System (DSS) to formulate recommendations on protective actions to the decision makers in all phases of the emergency response.
