The document that provides the reference framework for technical cooperation between the International Atomic Energy Agency and each Member State is called the Country Program Framework. This document contains a comprehensive cross-section of priority needs and problems within a national development strategy that can be addressed through the use of nuclear technologies.

The framework for the cooperation program is being created in the medium term. The valid program for the Republic of Serbia was signed in the autumn of 2009 and covers the period 2010 – 2015. A new Co-operation Program Framework will be prepared in 2018, with effect from 2018 to 2023.

National projects to be implemented in the project cycle 2018 – 2019.

Programming National Projects for the 2018–2019 Project Cycle started in 2016 and following the evaluation, in November 2017, the IAEA Board of Governors approved the implementation of four new projects.
