At the final stage of their assessment mission, the representatives of the IAEA Office of Internal Oversight Services, together with the SRBATOM representatives of the Unit for International Cooperation and Project Management visited today the Clinical Centre of Serbia where they had a meeting with Prof. Dr. Vera Artiko, Director of Center for Nuclear Medicine and the national coordinator of the projects “Widening Clinical Applications of PET/CT Using FDG and non-FDG Radiopharmaceuticals in the Diagnosis of Chronic Diseases” and “Introducing Radionuclide Theranostics in the Centre of Nuclear Medicine, Clinical Centre of Serbia”.

The IAEA officials positively remarked the work of the projects counterparts and visited the premises with the donated equipment. One part of the visit to the Clinical Centre of Serbia was an online meeting with the representatives of the University Clinical Centre of Vojvodina on the project “Building Capacities of Medical Physicists in Diagnostic Radiology to Support the Establishment of Quality Management Systems”, and with the representatives of the Special Hospital for Thyroid Gland and Metabolism Diseases Zlatibor as the national counterpart of the project “Improving Nuclear Medicine Capabilities in the Diagnosis of Malignant Diseases”.
