{"id":16271,"date":"2023-03-20T11:42:36","date_gmt":"2023-03-20T11:42:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.srbatom.gov.rs\/srbatomm\/srbatom-director-at-memorial-conference-predrag-maric\/"},"modified":"2023-03-21T08:46:02","modified_gmt":"2023-03-21T08:46:02","slug":"srbatom-director-at-memorial-conference-predrag-maric","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.srbatom.gov.rs\/srbatomm\/srbatom-director-at-memorial-conference-predrag-maric\/?lang=en","title":{"rendered":"SRBATOM Director at Memorial Conference \u201cPredrag Maric\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>At the invitation of Bratislav Gasic, Minister of the Interior, Sladjan Velinov, Director of Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate and a member of the National Disaster Response Headquarters, attended the second Memorial Conference \u201cPredrag Maric\u201d held at the Rectorate Building of the University of Belgrade.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.srbatom.gov.rs\/srbatomm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/viber_image_2023-03-20_21-23-17-871-1024x650.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16265\" width=\"642\" height=\"407\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>This Memorial Conference was devoted to the memory on the early-deceased police general Predrag Maric who served as a long-time Assistant Minister of the Interior, Chief of Sector for Emergency Management, lecturer at the Faculty for Security Studies at the University of Belgrade, and who will be remembered as a pioneer in his work and an initiator of the system for a disaster risk mitigation in the Republic of Serbia.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Conference was organized by the University of Belgrade, the Faculty of Security Studies, the Institute of International Politics and Economics and the Ministry of the Interior.<\/p>\n\n<p>After the formal part, the guests and the attendees participated in seven scientific and expert panels which served to present 52 professional papers that are short-listed to be selected for the best scientific thesis.
