It is fear that also prevents us from being INFORMED \u2013 and, based on ACCURATE information, deciding whether and where we want to use these or not.<\/p>\n
Key purpose of the conference „Nuclear Safety Today“, which was organized in the House of the National Assembly of Serbia on 25 November 2019, was to make the communication on these topics more available to the wider public, and to provide the public with the right information.<\/p>\n
The conference was opened by Maja Gojkovic, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia, who is also the Chairperson of the Board of Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate. Other speakers at the opening were Sladjan Velinov, Director of the Directorate (SRBATOM), Prof. Vladimir Popovic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Snezana Pajovic, Acting Director of the „Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences“, and Dalibor Arbutina, Acting Director of PC Nuclear Facilities of Serbia (NOS).<\/p>\n
